Officials at the New Jersey Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) have officially banned organ donations from residents of Wildwood, NJ. Toxicology reports on deceased Wildwood residents indicate that most organs are either riddled with Hepatitis X or filled with sand. Additionally, 80% of transplant recipients from Wildwood donors have reported experiencing sudden, acute retardation.

Lucas Cowbell of Millville, who received a tainted liver in 2022, was asked to describe what it’s like to experience sudden retardation. “I can’t explain anything—I’m retarded,” he responded.
Wildwood residents’ hearts, lungs, and kidneys cannot be disposed of as standard medical waste, as they have been classified as "hazardous materials." Attempts to repurpose the organs as livestock feed have failed, with pigs reportedly choosing starvation.
So far, the only practical use for the organs has come from Diabolic Funeral Services of Dennisville, NJ, which has begun selling memorial cornhole games to the families of deceased Wildwood residents. The cornhole boards feature a picture of the departed, while their sand-filled kidneys serve as the toss bags.
“We’ve never felt closer to Dad than when we’re throwing him around the yard,” says Michelle DeBelle of Surf Avenue.
