For 15th Year In A Row All Members Of Polar Bear Plunge Are White…Not One Black Person Offended.

This past Saturday, the 15th annual Wildwood Polar Bear Plunge took place at Heather Street Beach in Wildwood Crest. The event drew a large crowd of Caucasians eager to jump into the freezing ocean during winter to raise money for charity. In the event’s 15-year history, not a single participant has been a person of color—a fact that the Black community seems unbothered by.

“We’d like to thank the white community for not including us in this shitshow. Call us when you start doing this in June,” said Blanch Black of the Wildwood Chapter of the NAACP.

“See that guy with man boobs about to freeze his dick off in the ocean? I’ve never been prouder to be Black than I am right now. This shit is crazy,” added Richard Biggins of 3rd Street.

Event organizer Karen Smith has made several attempts to involve the Black community, but the response has been lukewarm. “At church, I asked a few of our Black congregants if they’d like to strip down and jump into the freezing ocean with us. Then we could all head back to the community center for some food without much seasoning. I haven’t seen them at church since,” she admitted.
