For the first time this year, robots were allowed to compete in the Wildwood Cornhole Championship. The tournament follows USAA scoring rules, with an additional Cape May County requirement to finish one beer per round.

This year’s finals featured a Boston Scientific robot named “Cyber Johnny” and last year’s human champion, Qiang "Corn" Ho-Lee from China. In round 30, the android refused to finish its beer, froze in place while its monitor flashed the word “TITTIES.” The refusal led to a disqualification and a win for Ho-Lee.
Boston Scientific blamed the mechanical failure on a recent rule change requiring all beers in the tournament to be brewed in New Jersey. The high lead and radiation levels in New Jersey water allegedly caused the malfunction.
Mr. Ho-Lee hoisted his trophy to cheers from the crowd, before being drowned by federal immigration enforcement agents. Councilwoman Anu Sfartez, who finished third in the tournament, had to withdraw after round 27 to attend a city council meeting.
